Hi!! I’m so glad you like my site! And I appreciate you mentioning this, it’s really hard to catch these things unless someone else points it out to me!! :] I’ve never seen anything flashing white on my end, the most I get is that the background image stops repeating as the page ends so it just leaves white. Is this when you scroll on the whole page or the textbox? My best guess is it might be the marquee of illustrations at the bottom - when I have time I’ll tinker with the index and make the text of and marquee further apart just in case thats the issue My marquee code is admittedly outdated and involves loading multiple copies of the same image in, so it sometimes only works after a page refresh. I’ll also look into to fixing that, I’ve been meaning to anyway. Thanks for the reminder! :]

Aww thank you!! I worked super hard on the main page layout so I get so happy when I hear people like it!!! I wish I had more time to dedicate to learning stuff about space, I think it’s really really cool but I would definitely be considered a casual enjoyer ,:] and thank you for saying that about my art thats so kind! YOURE THE FIRST LONGING FAN IVE EVER SPOKEN TO YESS!!! I plan to make a shrine for it at some point and put all my headcanons there, but for now take my incomprehensible ramblings!!!!! I first got the game ages ago and attempted a couple complete playthroughs, but stuff got in the way and I kept forgetting about it and getting the same bad end every time where the king ends all Longing. So at the start of this year I promised myself I wouldn’t forget and started thinking more about the character of the Shade so I would become more attached to it So at this point my version of the shade is an ENTIRELY different character: the Monarch!!! (I believe there’s a little drawing of it on my about me page? It’s outdated though) It starts out like the canon Shade, but becomes quickly convinced that it actually rules over the kingdom while the King is asleep and lies to itself about being just as respected as him. It crafts moss into a cloak and finds a tiny crown in the golden room where you get the coins Meaning it’s really indecisive about whether to leave, because does that mean abandoning its kingdom?? But clearly there’s some meaning to the dreams of the surface it keeps having!! We kept going back and forth between its home and the well - the Monarch justified this as ‘patrolling its kingdom to make sure its safe’ but realistically it was afraid to leave and I was too attached to let it (even though we’d figured out how and could at any time). The first time we visited obviously scared the Monarch more than anything it had experienced, so to protect against Angst and the dark in general, it started growing glowing mushrooms in the cloak itself, so it was always surrounded by light (There was also a mini-arc with the birthday lapis about potentially staying in the kingdom forever without letting time run out, but the Monarch eventually concluded it was better not to trap the entire kingdom like that the way it was trapped itself - a decision mostly motivated by our realisation that we couldn’t go back far enough to see the spider again) The idea WAS that at the last minute it would escape but I actually ended up not doing it right. I left it too long and didnt realise the kid and the old man stopped their routine if the time ran out. Which I guess is fitting in a way, with the Monarch being too insecure and indecisive and letting its one chance of potential freedom going to waste..! So instead, it got what I consider to be a bad end for it, using the three crystals to live in an eternal dream, fully giving in to its royal delusions (you have NO IDEA how happy I was when I realised it wears a crown in the dream that worked so perfectly with my narrative~!!). To this day I still don’t know what any endings involving the well are like..!!! Thank you for asking about my headcanons!!! I love the Monarch and all of the Longing so much!! I have no clue how much of this is understandable, I’ll make it easier to read in a shrine one day..! ,:]

Admittedly I haven’t been as involved with Deltarune theorising as I used to (this is my special interest and I genuinely have to take rests if I indulge in Deltarune stuff too much), so while I’ve heard of this theory, I’ll have to research the specifics of this and get back to you! My initial thoughts though: there are some design parallels between the Knight and Kris/Noelle (poses and antlers), and I guess the idea is that since Kris and Noelle probably go out of bounds in the weird route, the Knight can appear outside of the weird route? Narratively this is quite nice too - Noelle never getting to leave Hometown, Kris being ever more alienated and isolated from everyone. Also Cyber City being nostalgic for Noelle Something about it kind of feels off to me though?? What if a casual fan never does the weird route, never even finds out what it is, the reveal of the Knight’s identity wouldn’t make much sense and I expect wouldn’t be a very satisfying reveal. Like I said though, let me find out the specifics of this theory and evidence and I’ll edit this later! :] Alright update: the more I learn about it the more I don’t like it. Each to their own I guess..! But I think it makes a far better AU than theory
